Major renewable energy project based in regional NSW
Our client is a reputable national civil engineering contracting company currently executing a number of high-value EPCM contracts nationally in the renewable sector. The company is looking for a Quality Engineer for a multimillion dollar construction project in regional NSW.
Reporting to the Project Manager the Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining project related quality documents and monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Other responsibilities include :-
- conducting audits of work packages to ensure that all products, processes and deliverables are compliant with applicable quality standards and requirements as per contracts.;
- performing overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and reporting regularly on project status;
- working closely with the Project Manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Due to the size and scale of the project, applications are encouraged from experienced and qualified engineers who have a civil/mechanical engineering qualification with proven experience working on high-value, large construction projects. Excellent attention to detail and effective stakeholder engagement skills are as essential as familiarity with relevant legislations, standards and codes of practice related to the construction industry.
