FINANCE OFFICER

ForestrySA is responsible for the management of commercial pine plantations and native forests, including conservation, community and recreational access and use, on behalf of the South Australian Government.  ForestrySA’s head office is in the heart of Kuitpo Forest, just 40 kilometres south-east of the Adelaide CBD and the first of many forest plantations in the Mount Lofty Ranges.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic finance professional to support a small, hands-on finance team, currently undergoing the implementation of a new finance and payroll systems (Sage Intacct & KeyPay).  Reporting to the Finance Manager, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • raising invoices and liaising with customers and suppliers;
  • timely processing and payment of supplier invoices;
  • responsible for accounts receivable and debt collection
  • general ledger maintenance and integrity of accounts;
  • assisting with month end reporting and reconciliations;
  • assisting with payroll processing;
  • other administrative and ad hoc tasks as required

 

To be successful, you will have previous experience in a similar role demonstrating strong all-round bookkeeping skills, experience in the application and use of Accounting Computing Systems, MS Office Products, especially Excel, general administrative skills, and the ability to effectively manage the demands of the position ensuring delivery of key responsibilities in a timely manner.  A working knowledge of KeyPay is advantageous. In addition, you will be a supportive team contributor, have strong organisational and interpersonal skills, possess a high level of initiative, and demonstrate a commitment to achieve results. Tertiary qualifications in business or accounting are desirable, however, not essential.
