Part-time contract role
Our client is a South Australian based subsidiary of a well-known global entity with a product portfolio that is sourced worldwide. Our client seeks to appoint an experienced logistics professional on a part-time contract basis to manage the logistics and supply activities of the South Australian operation.
The responsibilities of this role will include:
- carrier contract management including carrier engagement, contract management, audit reviews and customer issue resolution.
The successful candidate will be required to review and refine the business’ carrier engagement framework and related policies and procedures ensuring alignment with current industry standards and legislative compliance and implement changes that may be required. A strong understanding of Safety, Health and Environment and compliance specifically in the transportation industry, preferably transportation of petroleum and dangerous goods.
Applications are invited from candidates with demonstrated experience in logistics within the fuel transport industry within organisations that deal with global suppliers and regularly procure and move industrial quantities of material or freight. With sound working knowledge of logistics and supply systems and a strong analytical skill set, the successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously while engaging, communicating and negotiating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
